GOTR NWI receives Women’s Sports Foundation grant!

Griffith, IN- Girls on the Run Northwest Indiana is proud to announce that they are the recipient of $7,500, through the Move Together grant. Together, the Women's Sports Foundation and Athleta awarded $250,000 in Move Together grants in 2022. Funds from this grant directly benefit grant-supported programs, such as Girls on the Run.

This Move Together grant helps girls and women move together and move forward in pursuing active and healthy lifestyles, and in creating a sense of community and belonging. When multiple generations can move together, it creates an enhanced sense of togetherness and belonging amongst participants and provides an opportunity for them to better relate to and learn from one another.

We are so excited to be recognized by a national organization that has done so much to celebrate women in sports,” says Executive Director of Girls on the Run Northwest Indiana, Jill Schlueter-Kim. “We are proud to receive this grant, which supports our efforts to serve our diverse communities in Northwest Indiana and ensure that our coaches reflect that diversity”.
